Robert Abernathy is an independent country artist, Nashville-area songwriter, and seasoned live entertainer whose shows are built on connection — and on requests. A Hoover, Alabama native now based in Middle Tennessee, he blends original country music, classic favorites, 1990s country, and an audience-first approach that keeps every set moving, from a stripped-down songwriter set to a full-band night.

He holds a Sunday night residency at The Stage on Broadway in Nashville (6:15–10:15 PM CT). He performs solo, as a duo or trio, with the Robert Abernathy Band, and with Rob-Sky & The Anthem alongside singer-songwriter Skylar Wallace. He also leads the Alabama Sunset tribute to the band Alabama, fronts the Eagle Sunrise Band (Eagles/CCR), and performs with Clearwater Rising (CCR tribute) — giving every stage several distinct shows through one dependable performer.

2026 has been a landmark year. Rob-Sky & The Anthem won Social Impact Music Video of the Year at the Josie Music Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry House, for "When We Love One Another" (co-written with Greg Wilson) — landing on the final cut in eight categories from more than 100,000 global nominations. Abernathy was named 2026 Alabama Male Country Artist of the Year (also 2018 and 2023), and at the 2026 Alabama Music Awards, Rob-Sky & The Anthem took Alabama Country Band of the Year while Boots on Fire (produced by Josh Bright) earned Alabama Mixtape Artist/Album of the Year; Wallace was named Alabama Female Country Vocalist of the Year. A year earlier, Abernathy accepted Country Song of the Year at the 2025 Josie Music Awards on the Grand Ole Opry stage for "Sweet Home Tennessee," co-written with Durand Robinson.

His schedule reflects the demand: 48 shows across seven states in the summer of 2026 alone, a CMA Fest 2026 performance, and a seven-night international resort engagement in Punta Cana. His original catalog keeps growing through co-writes and releases including the 2026 single "Redneck Magic." Away from the stage, his work as a Rutherford County educator reinforces the approachable, community-minded spirit that runs through his live shows.
